About the Forum 論壇簡介
Organized by the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the Deans’ Forum: Challenges and Opportunities for Humanities and Social Sciences in the Era of AI is held in association with the celebrations of the 35th Anniversary of HKUST.
This one-day forum will bring together Deans and Associate Deans from leading institutions to engage in high-level dialogue on how rapid developments in artificial intelligence (and technology in general) are reshaping the academic landscape, including education, research, and societal roles in the Humanities and Social Sciences. The forum aims to foster strategic reflection, experience sharing, and forward-looking discussion across diverse academic contexts.
由香港科技大學人文社會科學學院主辦的「院長論壇:人工智能時代人文與社會科學的挑戰與機遇」為香港科技大學建校三十五週年系列學術活動之一。本次論壇為期一天,將匯聚來自內地及國際大學的人文與社會科學學院院長及副院長,圍繞人工智能快速發展的背景,探討人文與社會科學在學科建設、人才培養、研究創新、交叉合作及社會服務等方面所面臨的機遇與挑戰,並進行深入交流。論壇旨在促進高層次學術對話與經驗分享,並推動前瞻性思考。

Ronghuai Huang is a Professor in the Faculty of Education at Beijing Normal University (BNU). He currently serves as Co-Dean of the Smart Learning Institute of BNU, Director of the National Engineering Research Center of Cyberlearning and Intelligent Technology, Director of the MOE Research Base for Education Informatization Strategy (Beijing), holder of the UNESCO Chair on Artificial Intelligence in Education, He is also Secretary-General of the Expert Group on Education Informatization of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, a Member of the Expert Committee on Science Subjects of the National Textbook Committee, a Member of the Expert Group on Artificial Intelligence Technology Innovation of the Ministry of Education, and Editor-in-Chief of Springer’s Journal of Computers in Education and Smart Learning Environments.
His research mainly focuses on artificial intelligence and education, smart education, and educational digitalization. His work has been widely recognized and highly acclaimed. The courses he has taught have been selected as National Excellent Courses and National Excellent Resource-Sharing Courses. He has received numerous honors, including the National Teaching Achievement Award, the Beijing Higher Education Distinguished Teacher Award, the Outstanding Scientific Research Achievement Award in Higher Education, the National Education Scientific Research Outstanding Achievement Award, as well as the titles of Beijing Excellent Teaching Team and Beijing Outstanding Teacher. In addition, he has undertaken more than 100 national, provincial, ministerial-level, and commissioned research projects. He has published over 40 books in Chinese and English, and more than 400 academic papers in both Chinese and English.
黃榮懷,北京師範大學教授,北京師範大學智慧學習研究院院長、互聯網教育智能技術及應用國家工程研究中心主任、教育部教育信息化戰略研究基地(北京)主任、聯合國教科文組織「人工智能與教育」教席主持人。擔任教育部教育信息化專家組秘書長、教育部教育數位化專家諮詢委員會委員、中國教育技術協會第七屆學術委員會主任、國家教材委員會科學學科專家委員會委員、教育部人工智能科技創新專家組成員、教育部「智慧教育示範區」創建項目專家組副組長、科技部科技創新2030-「新一代人工智能」重大項目管理專家組成員、國際期刊Journal of Computers in Education和Smart Learning Environment主編等。
主要從事人工智能與教育、智慧教育、教育數位化等領域研究。主講課程曾入選國家級精品課程、國家級精品資源共享課程,曾獲國家級教學成果獎、北京市高等學校教學名師獎、高等學校科學研究優秀成果獎、全國教育科學研究優秀成果獎,以及北京市優秀教學團隊、北京市優秀教師等稱號。承擔國家級、省部級等縱向項目及橫向課題100餘項,出版中英文著作40餘種,發表中英文學術論文400多篇。
